Here we identify a couple of the potentially “bogus” promotions going on in penny stocks today.

Without further ado, here are today’s “disasters waiting to happen”:

Viper Networks (VPER)

Viper Networks provides voice over internet protocol (VoIP) products and services worldwide. VPER offers VoIP telephony services, including the transmission of voice and data traffic for communications carriers, as well as enhanced Web-based and other communications services to businesses, institutions, and Internet service providers.  VPER terminated their SEC registration in 2009.

Shares of this sub-penny stock trade at just $0.004.

Penny Stock Pros was paid $30,000 by Kolo Media Group, LLC to hype shares of VPER.   

Golden Global (GLDG)

Golden Global is an exploration stage company focused on the exploration and development of commercial reserves of gold and silver.  GLDN’s properties include the McDame, Thibert Creek, and Dynasty properties located in northwestern British Columbia.  For the nine months ending March 31, 2012, Golden Global lost $151,186.

Shares of GLDN trade at $0.10.

Penny Stock Rumors was paid $11,000 to pump shares of GLDG.

These are just a few of the potential “pump and dumps” we’ve seen lately.
