Pump and DumpWelcome to today’s Pump and Dump Alerts, where we will be exposing these two companies:  TNI BioTech (TNIB) and Global Resource Energy (GBEN).

Here we identify a couple of the potentially “bogus” promotions going on in penny stocks today.

Without further ado, here are today’s “disasters waiting to happen”:

TNI BioTech (TNIB)

TNI BioTech is a Florida-based company that has acquired patents related to research activities for the study of cytokines.  Cytokines are hormones naturally produced by the immune system. TNIB is focused on the infectious disease market with its lead compounds being designed for the treatment of AIDS and cancer.  The company has less than $400 in cash and lost over $146,000 in the quarter ending June 2012.

This penny stock is currently trading near $1.25.

David Cohen and RDI were paid $35,000 by BBC, Inc. to pump TNIB.

Global Resource Energy (GBEN)

Global Resource Energy is a developmental stage company focused on acquiring interests in the clean fuel sector. GBEN was formerly known as Aura Bio Corp and changed its name to Global Resource Energy Inc. in December 2010.  In the quarter ending April 2012, GBEN lost $77,206.

We exposed a pump and dump scheme being run on GBEN back in July.  At the time, the stock was trading as high as $0.49.  Shares of GBEN were trading down near $0.12 today.

Penny Stock Market Bulls was paid $30,000 to hype up shares of GBEN.

These are just a few of the potential “pump and dumps” we’ve seen lately.
